The unfortunate truth for many people is that when they look in the mirror and smile, they don't like what they see. Whether through poor oral care, negligence, or trauma, there is a very large population of adults with one or more missing or decayed teeth, resulting in an unattractive smile.
But for people with missing, damaged, or decayed teeth, fixing this problem is about more than just making your smile beautiful again. It's about regaining confidence, being able to eat and speak properly, and protecting your mouth from further damage.
This is where full mouth reconstruction comes in.
Full mouth reconstruction is a process of rebuilding or repairing all of the teeth in both the upper and lower jaws.
The steps of full mouth reconstruction will vary depending on each individual case, but there are generally five steps involved: consultation, taking impressions/records, designing the smile, making a treatment plan, and undergoing treatment.
We not only improve the condition of your teeth and address underlying oral health problems, but can also improve the overall functioning and appearance of your smile with our custom procedures.
The first step is to schedule a consultation with on of our in-house dentists.
During this visit, your dentist will take a thorough medical and dental history, as well as perform a physical examination of your mouth. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your goals for treatment and ask any questions you may have about the process.
The next step is to take impressions of your teeth, which will be used to develop a treatment plan specifically for you. If you have had previous dental work done, your dentist will also review your previous records to get a better understanding of your mouth.
Once your dentist has all the necessary information, they will begin designing your new smile. This process includes choosing the right size, shape, and color of teeth that will create a natural-looking and functional smile.
A single dental implant typically costs around the same as installing a dental bridge. Implant treatment may qualify for insurance coverage, but the cost will vary by your needs and the severity of damage and bone loss. During your free dental implant consultation at The Lakes Family Dental, Dr. Alvarado will assess your needs and give you an estimate.
Once you have decided to move forward with treatment, your dentist will begin the process of transforming your smile. This may involve a combination of different treatments, such as dental implants, veneers, crowns, and/or bridges.
The length of time it takes to complete treatment will vary depending on the complexity of your case and the number of treatments required. However, you can be assured that your dentist will work diligently to help you achieve your new smile as quickly and efficiently as possible...
And with Dr. Jeffrey Alvarado's experience and expertise and the rest of the staff at The Lakes Family Dental, you are in great hands!
